We are looking for an experienced bookkeeper with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills who wants to work in a company rather than own their own business.
Key attributes of a successful candidate include:- Strong background in Accounting — Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field is preferred.
- Strong Communication Skills(verbal and written) — Strong, clear communication skills with internal team & clients.
- Highly Organized & Meets Deadlines — be able to manage your time and workload well.
- Attention to detail & Efficient — clients want to know that you will get the job done quickly and on time as promised. Knowing how to get it “Done” efficiently, paying high attention to detail, and solving problems quickly are essential.
- Tech Savvy & Process Improvement — the accounting industry has new software being introduced every day. Understanding how to apply technology and continuously improve processes to be more efficient and to make our clients successful is highly valued.
- 3+ years of bookkeeping experience or an accounting degree is a must
- Proficient in QuickBooks Online
- Pro-advisor certification in recent versions is a plus.
- A clear understanding of accrual and cash basis of accounting.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Capable of taking the lead, working independently
- Has no desire to start their own accounting/bookkeeping business
- You will be responsible for ensuring the quality of financial records through regular review of transactions/reports; assisting in all financial accounting processes; reviewing client books, and preparing financial statements and management reports.
- Month & year-end closing, including financial analysis Other responsibilities could include, processing accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and preparing business compliance filings such as 1099’s and sales tax.
- Additionally, you will be responsible for helping with onboarding new clients and ensuring bookkeepers are meeting their deadlines.
- Other finance/accounting projects may come up as well.

- File room maintenance– filing files, making files
- Mail/deliveries – rounds to collect outgoing mail, take/pick up mail from post office, local deliveries
- Back-up of processing tax returns
- Assist with scanning client information
- Miscellaneous errands for office
- Keep paper stocked in copiers/printers
- Check office supplies and order if needed
- Special projects or other administrative needs
